My current favorite library: Redmond Regional. Lots of goodies for sale, typically supplied by “friends of the community”, (aka old stuff from the Microsoft Library) usually ranging in price from 50 cents to 1 or 2 dollars, snack/coffee machines and tons of DVD’s. It’s easily located just down from a few coffee places, has the standard Free WiFi and several other branches to pull materials from.

I think the accessibility is the best, the hours are very late, even on Sunday they’re open clear until 8pm which can be a blessing at times. The 3 or 4 return scanners are nice to making it easy to drop off returns without having to even go in.

It’s been reported that people standing around asking for money can earn an un-reported income of between 13-55USD an hour, all just for the asking. This particular photo was taken at the corner in downtown Bellevue

Live music is just what we needed after seeing the Bodies Exhibit. this is just the boost we needed. What a lift!!rnrnThe Plains were very enjoyable, loud and good breaks in the songs. While the singing was mostly screaming it was authoritative and useful and had some decent character. Drumming was spot on and most of all the Bass was just terrific in leading the rhythm. Absolute Zero was by far my favorite and a good example of the above, Well done. I plan to go see them again on 03/09 at Jules Mae’s w/Open Choir Fire and Rosyvelt.rnrnThe main act, Vomiting Unicorns, while promising from what I heard on their myspace, was disappointing in real life. The set was very short, (only a few songs), and agreeably had a sound a little too borrowed from Sonic Youth. The Korg N5EX is very psychedelically stylized and enjoyable, but too brief in use and the volume was entirely too loud, (needlessly and excessively loud). I’d give them another chance, and it would be nice to hear them when they have come closer to finding their own sound.
